Folk Song

From the Andreas Scholl album i have chosen the track I Am A Poor Wayfaring Stranger.



It is a beautiful rendition of this traditional folk song by Andreas Scholl with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.

Nice. Though I still think Emmylou Harris' version of this may be one of the greatest vocal performances of all time.

I have to admit to not being one for 'classical' renditions of traditional song- it always lacks the raw edge.
