More Weird stuff
Dec. 20th, 2005 12:14 pmFirst of all from the Swedish label Subliminal Sounds a CD called "Thai Beat A GoGo Vol.3" from Resident today. A lovely weird mix of funky 60's and 70's Thai beat and funk including a version of Osibisa's "Sunshine Day" and Flack's "Where Is the Love" - brilliant.
Secondly i received the "Go Cinemania Reel 2 - Young Turks" compilation from the Japanese Polystar label.A great collection of soundtrack neo-jazz noir sounds.
Still doing some surveys and i guess i will be finished by Thursday and then some time off over the festive period but January looks thin on the ground - i will need more work coming in otherwis eit will be a tight month.
That's one reason why i hate Xmas. Spending money to prove you still love somebody etc etc and too much of everything esp. excess in all areas and receiving things you really don't need or want. You never get what you want anyway so you might as well buy it yourself. Vouchers arnd money are good but money is more flexible. i guess i will get the usual M&S vouchers from the usual people.
Having said that though had a good day with my Cousin Tim and his girlfriend Karen in Canterbury on Monday. Quite a few beers were drunk that day. Much easier travel route now that there is a fast service from Brighton to Ashford International requring only one change for a train from there to Canterbury West. The time is now cut to just over two and a half hours instead of the old almost four hours with three train changes.
Roll on January and look forward to summmer again.
