Sunday Boot Fair

This morning i braved the arctic weather to go to the boot fair but didn't leave it til ten to go. Still very cold then. Picked up four albums from a really sparse morning. Very little traders about. Bought the following for £2 to a quid -

Black Funk - Black Funk (Beacon)
a replacement copy for a fairly scratched one and this LP  is now difficult to find for a UK reggae LP

Soul Flutes - Triust In Me (A&M)
Classy Creed Taylor production with Herbie Hancock,Roin Carter,Eric Gale,Ray Barretto and more.

James Brown - I Got You (I Feel Good) (Pye International)
An original Pye issue of a JB album from 1966

Ravi Shankar - Transmigration Macabre (Sparks)
From the film "Viola" produced by R Davis - not heard this at all so it will be interesting to listen to.

Yesterday i visited the refurbished Rare Kind Records , which is now downstairs, with the old paint and graffiti shop gone. They had a sale on with a BOGOF (buy one get one free) offer on all second hand vinyl.

Got the following -

Various - Get Wise (Portrait LP)
Earth Wind and Fire - Head To The Sky (CBS LP)
Miichel Fugain - No.2 (CBS France LP)
John Scott and His Orchestra - Film Blockbusters (Polydor LP)
This album has a dope version of "Blowing Your Mind" from the "Shaft's Big Score" film.
