FTLC

Today was FTLC. Me and GC met at La Tasca but they have chenged their menus. The ten pound tapas offer is no longer available for lunch but is now only available from 5 - 8 pm. Instead,they have a salad deal which is not much different from what is on their main menu and consequently you do not save much at all. We waited for Lesley and Annie to come,but after Annie arived we hung around for a further fifteen minutes but no sign of her. We departed and ended up in Zafferelli's.

We had a lovely Italian meal,The starter was big and the main course was very filling. Two courses for only £6.75 plus drinks and anything else on top. Food was excellent.  Service was good,not exceptional, but overall it is highly recomended.  So we could use it again next month or try somewhere else.

New Africa

Arrived in the post today Grachan Monchur III "New Africa" (Affinity LP), a classic BYG?Actuel jazz recording from 1969. Avant garde mostly but the final track "When" is very modal and spiritual. Awesome infact and is one for playing on Friday's Brillo somewhere near the beginning of my Set.
