Last day in Brighton area for awhile, so I decided to make the most of it. I first took a journey in to Brighton to see Ville, but I stopped on the way in Saltdean to take a picture of the sea from the coast. Then walked from there to Rottingdean before picking up the bus again.

Met Ville in town and we had a carvery lunch , and then I popped into the Evening Star for my last few beers before coming back.
Today I started with a pint of the
Dark Star Revelation (5.7 % ABV), followed by a half of the
Westmalle Dubbel Trappist monk beer (7.% ABV) followed by a half of the
De Graal Triple ale (9 % ABV), then back to the Dubbel and finally a half of Revelation.
Yesterday, before my gig, I had a pint of
Brodie's Columbus (6.6 % ABV), which was free as it was the last from the barrel, and a pint of
SWB Diablo (6.0 % ABV).
The usual crowd were there such as Nigel, postman Mark,Tony and Jersey Chris. The lovely Alice was behind the bar in her usual exuberant, kooky and frivolous manner. A performance poet who sees life as a drama and all the emotions with it, which she went through during the couple of hours I was a barfly. At times guffawing with hilarity , and then sudden melancholia wrapping herself around the other barkeep George.(Lucky fellow!). Much mirth was had as the ale flowed.

I also bought a few paperbacks ,
“The Book Of Universes” John Barrow (Vintage), Simon Reynolds “Retromania” (Faber) , and
“Woody Allen” by Graham McCann (Polity Press).Whilst in Brighton i saw a shop that would interest Mike, a malt whisky specialist in East Street.

Sold four books on Play which I will post off when I get back to Teynham.
