Piano Music

I was listening to some piano music of Debussy last night , and I thought how piano music , be it jazz or classical, can utter so many moods. Listening to the solo piano music of Keith Jarrett , for example , can be a revelatory experience

Here is one way to get people listening to piano music, if slightly saucy!

I would be in the front row at that recital.

The Early Easter Examination

Spent most of the day out in the garden. Glorious sunshine and warm enough for T shirt and short trousers

I have been reading the Bruce Chatwin book “The Songlines” , and I am already a quarter the way through it.

The new people next door to us have been around sorting out the place. They will be moving in on the 27th of the month. The lad is very tall, over six foot but seems to be nice , addable and friendly. He is called Dawson, and his girlfriend is called Julie, they have a baby and a young son called Jake. Plus they have three cats.

Ali and Nigel have a new band called The Remedy and they are playing the Dover Castle tonight. I know that Tim will be going up later, and I might go myself, but I am not that bothered really.

I cannot be bothered with Easter, especially Good Friday. (I am an atheist you see) . It is an annoyance on the timetable of the year. All the television schedules are moved around with sport or religious programmers, and most of the shops are closed because it it like a Sunday, actually worse than a normal Sunday, as ,most pubs are shut too. It also fucks up the banking system, so that any PayPal transfer I get during this period will not be in my bank till much later in the week, due to both today, the weekend and Bank Holiday Monday. And another thing, why is Easter so early this year.?
