Jimbo's Last Quiz

Last night was Jimbo's last quiz at the Dover Castle Inn pub as of next Phil,James and now Paul will all be leaving to ventures new. I arrived just after the quiz had finished and had a chat with Phil. It was all quite emotive.

Meanwhile, I have a real stuffy nose and my olbas oil stick has seized up and i cannot open it up. But then i realised it was the stick i was trying to unscrew not the stick holder. That makes me a bit of a plonker.

Crickets

I was hoping to get away with a dry day but once again it rains, blows and intermittently has periods of calm and dryness.

So as it is, i am here in the Office and afterwards will do another travel shop visit in  town plus a charity shop and the canner is with me as well.

Listened to that Emma Bunton CD again. It is a real winner with a good feel to it. I am even warming up to her version of the old Marcus Valle bossa nova tune "Crickets Sing For Ana Maria". Astrud Gilberto also did a version of the song.

Today's Finds

Another day of visits and that allowed me to do some chatty shops as well I picked up  a few  paperbacks and a DVD as well, Best find of the day was the Tom Ze album  from the British Heart Foundation shop in Sittingbourne.

The CD's found today are -

N.E,R,D - Fly or Die (Virgin)
Rachel Stevens - Funky Dory (19 Records)
Tom Ze - The Hips Of Tradition (Luaka Bop)
Brand New Heavies - Brother Sister (FFRR)

The Rachel Stevens album is not the one i m really after  but even finding this one of the two she did was not easy to find despite being a former member of S Club 7.
