Finzi - Eclogue for Piano And Strings

This is a lovely poignant piece of music from Gerald Finzi. His "Eclogue" from the CD i bought today from a charity shop for a mere fifty pence.

Enjoy.

Tallis - Spem In Alium

This was featured on a BBC documentary about the Renaissance in Britain, and is one of the most beautiful pieces of choral music i heave heard.  A wonderful motet for forty voices.

Enjoy.

More Jazz

Finally some quality jazz from some of my collection. Starting with this version of the Billie Holliday tune by Sonny Rollins from "The Bridge" LP.

From the CD of Art Pepper meets The Rhythm Section is this great version of  "You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To"

And finally this great tune from Carmen Lundy's LP "Good Morning Kiss"

Let Me Down Easy

One of the things i do like to do is to compare versions of songs , especially soul songs. So here is the same song , first sung by Paloma Faith and then sung by the original of it, Betty Lavette.

Enjoy. I still prefer the original.
