Zeena Parkins has been a mainstay of the contemporary jazz and improv scene for many years ever since i started reading the Wire magazine. Here she with Bobby Previte's So Percussion outfit at a live concert.

Maidstone Visit

A trip to Maidstone today to do a phone shop visit and a pub food and drink visit. I also had some time investigating the stuff in charity shops ,and seeing what bargains i could get. Found three CD's for fifty pence each and two books for a quid each. These will be either kept, sold online or sent to prospective donators, which so far has been zilch. A bit disappointing really, and time is running out since soon it will be Xmas.
