Random Thoughts

I woke up to the sound of cricket eminating from below, and wondering what game it was. Cousin has been watching the game between South Africa and Pakistan.

Today, i might pop over to Faversham and sell some books to the usual musty old bookshop i sell them at.

However, i am still waiting for payment from one of my companies for work i did last month. They seem to be getting later and later. I had to cancel other visits because of this impasse.

Time to have breakfast. I fancy porridge.

Slight Rewrite

There is a line in Season 2 Episode 22 of Buffy "Becoming Part Two" in which Spike wants to help Buffy save the world against Angelos who wants to end this world by sending it into a hell dimension. The reasons are -
"I like this world. You've got dog racing, Manchester United .. "

I guffawed at that. Between Spot and myself Man. Utd are the scum of the football league. I would have rewritten that as Chelsea, managed by the Special One!

Oh yes, SyFy are doing an Icons special this weekend, and they are having a Buffy one!

The end of the episode where Buffy has to kill Angel to save the world still gets me in the throat and eyes.

Saturday African Music

In the end, i did not travel over to Faversham as i needed to top up the electricty key meter with my last ten pound note. Watching four hours of Buffy on the SyFy channel today helped pass the time. The channel is doing an Icons season and next weekend they have all episodes of Whedon's Firefly.

Now i have been a bit remiss with the music factor, so to make amends, here is a fine piece of African music by Ali Farka Toure and a track called Jungou.
