Coastal Visit Day

Coastal visits today. New Romney , well just a bit inland, Hythe and Ramsgate. Then ice cream this evening at a cinema, just the confectionery , and not a film.

On the way, need to pick up some stuff for my slight hay fever. Been sneezing again.

The bitter hostility of the sky and the trees
Nature has taught her creatures to hate
Man that fusses and fumes
Unquiet man
As the sap rises in the trees
As the sap paints the trees a violent green
So rises the wrath of Nature's creatures
At man
So paints the face of Nature a violent green.
Nature is sick at man
Sick at his fuss and fume
Sick at his agonies
Sick at his gaudy mind
That drives his body
Ever more quickly
More and more
In the wrong direction.

Sunshine day!!!

My invocation for good sunshine (the poem from the other day) has come to fruition. It is a lovely sunny warm day here in Hythe as i type on the laptop in this old town pub.

Will be doing my second visit soon, so i cannot dawdle on the net for too long.

Great Finds in Hythe

Found some great items in Hythe, and in particular two DVD's of electro-acoustic music on the German Wergo imprint. One of them has a new version of Alvin Lucier's "I Am Sitting In A Room".







Also among them was the O'Rang  "Herd Of Instinct" CD - all for a quid each, and worth around fifteen quid each if i sold them

Also, in my chazzer shop scavaging i found a Johnny Depp movie "Dark Shadows".

The ice cream visit was divine, over at Westwood Coors shopping centre, just outside of Ramsgate. I just love Ben & Jerry's ice cream.

The only minor setback is that i have lost my good friend, the Canon Ixus camera, which must have fell out of my bag during my bus rides. I will have to contact Stagecoach lost property department tomorrow to see if some kind soul had found it and gave it to a driver or the depot in either Canterbury or Broadstairs. I feel slightly upset about it.

Thank goodness i still have the larger more powerful Lumix camera.
