Quiet Sunday

Apart from Thursday's lunch club most of the week has been salad days. Chicken salad, smoked mackerel salad , and today a pasta salad. Healthy five a day stuff!

After doing the usual weekend chores of vacuuming etc,i finished my reports from yesterday, i listened to the radio, enjoyed the salad lunch, and now having a mocha style coffee.

Then i will do some catch up on the BBC iPlayer, esp. the music quiz Counterpoint. I love to test my knowledge against the contestants on that radio programme, although my weakest spot is show tunes, musicals and anything to do with Gilbert & Sullivan - yuk!

Tomorrow, back on the visits with Rochester, Ashford and Tneterden to complete. Weather is going to be hot and sunny by all accounts. Monday 26 degrees C , Tuesday 30 degrees C and possibly 33 on Wednesday!!!

The Gift

Guess what. Way back at the beginning of the year when i though that i had lost one of the DVD's in the Buffy complete seasons box set i received from a kindly soul stateside, or that i thought it wasn't in the box set, being disc two of Season 3. Well, i found it! Now whether i misfiled it or that when it was packaged and dispatched to me, it was out of sequence, is now lost in the midst of time. But the other day when i was removing one of the discs to Season 5 of the set i found the disc in the same tray. It had somehow got lodged,doubled up in a tray where only one disc should fit.

Oh what joy to find as i though that the whole set was incomplete. I had to laugh out loudly, as i have another box set just of Season 3 alone, so that episodes 5-8 could be watched. That single season came from my brother as a gift. The irony of it, as i am about to complete the last two discs of Season 5 again which ends with the episode "The Gift".
