Answer for question 4560.

[Error: unknown template qotd]I try to be frugal due to being on low income and having to fight for each scrap of jobs that come up. I recycle packaging as much as i can, which is useful for posting sold items from my Discogs / Ebay sites. I now try to recycle any plastic bags esp. for books, donations to charities and for disposable of old cat litter,

These things have to be done.

Going Uckfield Way

A journey over to Uckfiedd later today so i might just pop into Lewes on the way. The town (Uckfield) is on the River Uck, one of the tributaries of the River Ouse, on the southern edge of the Weald here in East Sussex. In fact , it was first recorded in writing as 'Uckefeld' in 1220, and is an Anglo-Saxon place name meaning 'open land of a man called Ucca'. It combines an Old English personal name, 'Ucca' with the Old English locational term, 'feld', the latter denoting open country or unencumbered ground (or, from 10th century onwards, arable land).

It will be dark when i do my visit anyway as it is another 5 pm shift and for a couple of hours.

On a different note )

On The Way Back From Uckfield

Visit done and now ensconced for one pint that i think i really deserve at the Gardner Arms in Lewes. I am trying a pint of Rother Valley Blues (5.0 % ABV) and it is another dark ale of distinctive flavours

In other news, i do hope that the vote against air strikes goes against Cameron and his cronies but i fear that the war mongers are too strong for his absolutely forthright and humanistic political stance.

Busy day tomorrow.
