Sport The Questions

I could not help overhear the lads downstairs watching the Liverpool v. Chelsea game and it prompted some thoughts -

Which sport, if any, do you like to watch?

Do you participate in any sport?

Do you have any sporting hero?

Figure skating. And even that I don't pay complete attention to. Husband's tastes mean I am exposed to tons of American football, but I don't give a crap about it.

World champion couch sitter. I used to be a pretty good raquetball player, but that was more than 30 years ago.

No. To me a hero is someone who takes chances for someone else, not someone who plays for pay.

I use to love watching figure skating and men's gymnastics.
I can tolerate American Pro Football.
I do love the equestrian events in the Olympics, but it does make me super nervous. lol...

I am a couch potato. :p

Off the top of my head, I can't think of a sports "hero".
Hugs, Jon

Figure skating, world and European football (domestic game leaves me cold except LEICESTER!), horseracing is R's big thing so I kinda get involved by proxy.

Nope, just watch and do a bit of holiday walking.

Well, I had this big thing for Cristiano Ronaldo some years ago why yes, I wrote slash. Why do you ask?. But really my biggest hero of all time is Desert Orchid - grace, strength, beauty, charisma, next-best-to-a-unicorn; what's not to like?

1. If pressed, I will watch golf or rugby, but not willingly.

2. Nope

3. Again, no.

F1 motorcycle racing.

I used to be fair to middling at badminton.

No real heroes in sport, no.

I dislike footbrawl. We went past a football field with lots of peole practicing and then a soccer field with less people practicing on the way home. There was a hold up and we got stuck listening to and watching the soccer for a few minutes. Was not impressed.

I generally don't watch sport but have watched soccer with my son and also with my SIL when at their place in the past. I also sometimes watch tennis with Mrs Cleverhands and have on occasion have watched basketball. I don't mind watching a bit of gymnastics and that kind of thing. #3 son and I used to watch bowls on a slow Sunday afternoon sometimes, much to Gyro's annoyance :)

I used to play hockey in my last years of high school and when at uni, but I got out of it when I decided it was too dangerous.

No, I don't have any sporting heros. Oh wait, Dawn Frazer for swimming.

I suck at sports.

I never liked sports.

The only thing I really did like that was remotely sport-like was frisbee throwing.

You often had to chase the thing down to catch it. Throwing it to or near the
other person took skill, too.

a) Love sports! Especially American football, but also really like baseball and college basketball.
b) Played soccer for years and years as a kid, also basketball (which I was terrible at), and baseball (was terrible at it, but at least liked it.) These days I just run.
c) Have a lot of athletes I like but no clear favorites.
