Philosophy has its Categorical Imperative (Kant) and then there is Relativism and Utilitarianism. Is scientific truth more true than religious truth? - i tend to err on the former BTW, or is the absolute truth mathematical truth and its axioms? Discuss.

Ah, even Pilate said "What is Truth?" or was that Bill Clinton?

I am a religious person in a certain context but I don't think religious doctrine trumps science. To me religion is human (and thus inherently flawed) attempt to explain the unexplainable. Those who claim to be sure exactly what the deity is or wants also tend to be super intolerant and judgy themselves.

If we focused on the core idea that all creation is worth of love and care, and became agents to that effect of whatever "god" there is or isn't, imagine what could be possible?

I guess I would lean towards science when it comes to "truth".

...if God is real and religioius truth is from God then i guess it is ultimate truth, whereas scientific truth is based on human perceptions which are sometimes wrong...if God isn't real then i guess scientific truth is the best we've got....
But, if God is real, then we've still got human perceptions of that truth, which is also sometimes wrong...or arguably often wrong.
The best arguments I've seen on God's existence are in the Dawkins and Lennox debate, on youtube. It's long but the best I've seen.

Both are based on non-absolutes, so it makes me think one is not more true than the other. Most of these are (once again) based on experience, perceptions, freedom from dogma, freedom from scientific reasoning...it all depends on how you were raised to think, how you process the world around you - and whether you believe in absolutes. I believe nothing is absolute. There are exceptions to every rule. My reality is not someone elses. Math is always the same. Numbers always crunch....except when they don't. Again, no absolutes. Everything is fluid. Truth is the most solid foundation of our individual realities...and it is the most fluid concept outside of time itself.

That is quite an awesome analysis.

Aww, bless you, honey...I know my thinking is rather convoluted at times - but I was just happy I was somewhat coherent on the matter, lol!!
