My cousins lived across the woods from us and would occasionally banish the horn player outside to practice. When I heard this, I had great fun grabbing instruments from our pile and playing famous orchestral themes back and forth with my cousin. The trumpet them that opens Mahler 5 was my favorite opening salvo.
