Contemplating

Another scorching hot day spent mostly this morning watching DVD's in the relative shade of my room. Afternoon , so far, spent sweltering under the sun and reading Sartre , contemplating the nature of existence and our being in it, the ontological reasons for being and what it all means or not. Then one of the other hostel customers, yep they call us customers, comes up with the piffy "Jack shit" to my question. I bang my head on the outdoor beach in utter defeat and disbelief.

I just peeked at weather.com for your area. Yuck! With no AC, that is quite nasty. Here in NJ it's currently even 10F hotter (and with the humidity, feels about 5F even worse)

This summer has been sweltering. So tired. I'd send you cool vibes if I had any to spare.

Art can also provide hope, sustenance, an escape, and the Noel of a world to reclaim when recovery comes (for some) and madness swings away. I think it's noble to promote a book in this context.

Good idea to watch DVDs inside out of the sun. I don't know about reading outside in the hot sun, though! I think I would rather be in a chair, under an umbrella, with a cold drink on the table in front of me. A drink involving ice cubes, but not alcohol :)

This hot weather can make one cranky. I wouldn't expect all your 'housemates' to have high IQs necessarily.
