Several times. The first was at a Kiwanis music festival. I spent two summers writing newspaper articles for a living. Most recently, I was featured in a story about student dancers performing in a ballet with a touring company.

I have a friend who loves dinosaurs and other silly things. She ordered me a rolling pin that stamps out dinosaur shapes so I baked her dino cookies. I also knitted her a pair of T Rex claw mittens (my own design), and a pair of goofy elf slippers she had admired (complete with bells on the toes). It was fun watching her post about the surprise package.

I don't watch TV, so this is not an issue.
