Phew ! It Ain't Half Hot Mum

What a warm hot day it's been - but not complaining.Stuck inside Habitat for awhile though so tried to finish that one quickly. and get outside and feel the warmth. Had a nice coffee outside Nero's in the sun, just watching the world go by.

Bought "The Yellow Princess" by John Fahey (Vanguard CD 2006) which has just ben reissued with extra tracks. Originally from 1968 it shows John in one of his finest acoustic guitar picking and strumming moments ,his eighth album. It covers various folk styles and is quite bluesy in places Folk albums have never been so good as this one. A good one for long summer days.

Picked up a few £1 books from Sandpiper Book's back room. Two architecture books and one art book, which i will read first and then maybe put them on the stall at a profit once Sandpiper has sold out of them. They are "Building A Better Future" by Robert Elwell (John Wiley and Sons 2000) paperback (ISBN 0-471-98707-7),"Architrctural Expressionas" by Tony and Peter Mackertich (John Wiley and Sons 2001) paperback (ISN 0-471-49667-7) and "Art from Impressionism To The Internet" (Prestel Sightlines paperback ISBN 3-7913-2221-4) - a handy pocket guide to Modern Art.
