Forthcoming Events
Sunday will pop off with GC and AWN to a car boot sale as both of them have quite alot of bits and pieces to sell, and i have a few things too,not much, but it willl be a day out,and a way to hunt out cheapo stuff for the stall.
July 12th at The Hanbury Ballroom (Wednesday) the excellent Hamilton Yarns are playing plus three others.Cheap musical evening too,as it is only £4 entrance.
Look forward to Thurs 17 Aug. to see the superb Juana Molina play live at The Duke of York Cinema. I have two of her three albums so far and her use of acoustic and electronic music with a suave Portugese latino lilt to it is quite refreshing. Again thanks to THE WIRE for pointing me in her direction.
Sat 8 July at Duke of Yorks - a late one at 11.30pm two films on the history of hip-hop BEAT THIS:A HIP-HOP HISTORY and THE HIP-HOP TRAIN (about 90 mins in total).
Juana Molina has a website too at http://www.juanamolina.com which is quite a good one to trawl through.
