Sunday Slouching

Saturday was very misty and dull. The weather was omnipotent with morosity.

However, today it has been very sunny and mild. Before midday, I soaked in the radiance. I walked around the block. Then, as the clock turned eleven, I went back in and prepared for my Sunday music session in the community room. I do this every Sunday now.

I took the six-CD box set of Karin Krog's jazz albums. Dawn, from flat 33, arrived a few minutes later. My music-loving  cohort brought her vodka and coke whilst I finished off the wine from yesterday. I told her about my recent days of feeling anguished concerning my sister-in-law. So, Dawn said, I could have knocked on her door that day, and so we decided to exchange our mobile phone numbers. Dawn further intimated that if I felt distraught again, I could always knock on her door.

When we finished our drinks, she gave me a hug before we departed to our separate flats. Her final comment was to confirm that she enjoys our music sessions and looks forward to the hour every Sunday!

We are definitely good friends now.
