That Was The Weekend
Saturday I went out to the Northern Lights to have some food and particularly a fish dish as I have not had fish for other a month. Tim hates fish.
I had their smoked herring with potatoes and salad. Lovely.
When I arrived at the joint Ville and Gareth were unloading decks and record bags from a taxi. Ville and Ally Smith were spinning the vinyl for one of Ville’s friends birthday party. I still had a bag of records which Manu put away and played about an hours worth of funky vibes.
Sunday I saw Brighton Phil down at the Evening Star to give him his second book her ordered from me. I stuck with the splendid Six Hop Ale.
Afterwards I took a train to Worthing to do a Weatherspoons mystery shop and to see another friend I have not seen for ages. He was visiting relatives down this way as he still lives in Rugby, my birth place.
Weather was poor with heavy precipitation that spoilt the day. In the end we just stayed in a pub and I got back to Brighton for about 4.30pm.
Last night I watched the BAFTA awards on BBC1. The King’s Speech grabbed most of the awards which was expected but glad to see Inception pick up a few which I have yet to see.
Got quite a few records and CDs to post today from Discog sales and i want to see Mark at Monkey Music to sell off some vinyl.
