Wet Sunday
The weather has put paid to sunbathing today, raining as I write, , so with cousin watching loads of sport on the old goggle box, I have been upstairs reading. I finished off a couple more of those Icon books and read the newspaper. The books read were -
Semiotics For Beginners
Chomsky For Beginners
and most of
Psychology For Beginners
I also listened to a couple of podcasts form Philosophy Bites.
Have read little of Noam Chomsky, but as a polemical critic of his own country, the USA, he has to be a writer I must investigate more, less for his linguistics, but certainly more for his libertarian views.
The Smith's “The Queen is\Dead” is now a quarter of a century old, and the Saturday Independent had an article on that seminal album. I shall be listening to this one again
