Man, i have to share this track as it blows me away, from the Grand Central comp.

Only Child feat. Buffy Brox - Rain (Rhodes & Acapella Mix)

A superb version of a Grand Central Records classic which appears on the 1998 compilation 'Central Reservations'. The Acapella and Rhodes mix of Rain captures the fragile beauty of of Buffy Brox's vocal. Buffy is the daughter of Victor Brox one time vocalist and keyboard player with the Ainsley Dunbar experience, a highly regarded sixties blues rock outfit.

So as promised ,  here is another sublime moment of wow from another new discovery by Zohar and the album "OneThreeSeven". The track i have chosen is "Byzantine". One for my next gig i think.

Best way to describe Zohar's music is Arabic and Hebrew ambient trip-hop. They've sampled Arab vocalists and Jewish cantors and put them against a backdrop of lush, world dub soundscapes. Maybe there CAN be peace between Jew and Arab one day. G-d willing. We all need this peace.

Enjoy.

Today i journeyed back from Seaford and arrived in Sittingbourne about half one and went to the Office to check some things.

The sun had remained persistently coy for most of the morning but eventually coaxed out from the clouds to become a sweltering heat  when i popped over to Faversham to buy the cat some food mid-afternoon.

So, at the moment, I am  doing a bit of chillaxing to the CD's i bought.the Brighton based Tru Thoughts label compilation When Shapes Join Together 3 is just great.

Here is one of the tracks written and arranged bu Will Hutton , also of the Quantiic Soul Orchestra, and a track by The Limp Twins called Moving Closer To The Sofa.

Enjoy.
