And on 39% of the vote. Proof our electoral system is busted.

Well, they ARE necessary if you believe that government must work to widen the gap between those who have and those who don't. The trick is to whittle down the number of those who have so when the ceiling falls on the entire system, they will have sufficient resources to skip town to some gated sanctuary while the rest of us go all Road Warrior on ourselves.

Last night I watched C-Span's coverage of what I guess would be the PM's Questions of the Scottish Parliament, but with First Minister Salmon in the hot seat. Interesting stuff. The thing that I found the most troubling is they are concerned that Conservatives who got voted out of the UK Parliament might get appointed to the Lords to continue their skulduggery. I didn't understand their reference to the U.S. Congress, though.

The thing that sucks is that apparently C-Span never runs on time. The session was well underway when my DVR started recording and I only got 15 minutes, and that's with me setting my DVR to record Question Time starting 10-15 minutes early!

I've given up trying to figure it out. First Minister of Scotland is now Nicola Sturgeon. Alex Salmond is now an MP at Westminster.
