Dismissed

Tories dismiss protesters as not being "Grown-up" in anti-austerity march in London today.

Once again, proving that this government are a bunch of heartless morons.

"Leave Government to the grown-ups"

We would, if we could find any! :-/

I'm not surprised at anything these days.

They really have not got a clue. I find Brassed Off's description of the genesis of the Tory Party more and more accurate every day.

You don't suppose they've mistaken "grown up" for "dead inside"?

"Inner life, inner life...? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVRQK58jrbw&feature=youtu.be&t=1m08s)"

Governments are greedy children these days. :/

Did you read the comments? I am surprised at the hatred directed against the low paid - I am sure that none of them voluntarily opted for poverty wages.

If you have to tell people you are a grown up then you probably are not - Richard Holloway should take note :)

WOW, talk about out of touch with reality. :o
Government wise, our two countries might as well be one. :o
Hugs, Jon

They seem to be on on the same diabolical page.

I don't believe in them, but I think it's time for a good book burning. :p

Not grown up for being anti-austerity - yeah, right.

And looking down on the poorly paid only exacerbates the problem. Everybody should be paid a living wage, I say! I recently heard of a housing price bubble fueled by high-paid jobs. Yes, the people could now afford houses. We can't have that, can we? Back to the bad old days. When will they ever learn that austerity doesn't work. How about prosperity and egalitarianism. That seemed to work well.

I believe the original puritan settlers had a similar vein of egalitarianism and brotherhood.

Hmmm...interesting...

I'm reminded of how, after George W. Bush took office in 2001, the Busheviks crowed that "the grown-ups are in charge".

It's a shame that in both our countries, people vote to re-elect the rightwingers in spite of the obvious damage those Dickensian villains have done.

I marched yesterday and, at 54 consider myself exceedingly grown up! Certainly grown up to see that pursuing their ideological obsession with austerity has led to the national debt going over 1,5 trillon, growth stall, tax receipts fall and the poor, disabled and unemployed demonised while public services are either slashed or sold for profit

WTF...

UGH.
