Answer for question 4486.

[Error: unknown template qotd]My most useful tool at home is the spatula i use for my eggs on toast. Comfort food at the best. It would be a great misgiving if i did not have it. I do lack a garlic crusher , as that would be most useful.

Back of a broad bladed knife works damn well as a garlic crusher!

Place garlic on chopping board, place knife blade on top, bring down fist.

I think that goes against the appliance ethic. You're supposed to have a special, separate tool or machine for every little task. I'm saving up for a banana slicer!

Good set of pots and pans and standard kitchen tools- all of those high quality steel and a good set of knives does most things for me. In my case they're a good set of left handed knives.

As for electrickeral things- panini press, slow cooker and bread maker!

Not sure my head cook grandma would have approved of those last three though! :o)

With the popularity of head cooks, I wonder if anyone's yet invented a special crock pot for that?

She was certainly familiar with cooking a sheep's head! :o)
