Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge Visits

Bussed down to Tunbridge Wells to do some visits with the Royal Victoria Shopping Centre. Currently in Tonbridge having done another mystery shop and enjoying a pint of Tring Moloko Milk Stout (4.5 % ABV). The name is based on the bar in the Anthony Burgess novel "A Clockwork Orange".

Wasn't that the Korova? Moloko is just Russian for "milk".

Matt lives in Bristol and runs a pub there so he would have read the local papers about this pub.

There is a Tonbridge and a Tunbridge Wells.
How often do they get mixed up? :p

Good question. I really do not know but i guess they might as both towns use a TN post code.Less than ten miles separates them with Southborough in between. I had not realized that you did not know about Tunbridge Wells (no castle) and Tonbridge (with castle) were separate towns.

At least they have a town between. lol...

Speaking of heartier ales, did you get to try the Wetherspoons commission from, ISTR, a Japanese brewer in Guam, of a quite sublime smoked porter? I was quite taken by that!
