Post Midnight Music from Jazzy D #6

More cosmiche musik -

La Düsseldorf - Viva

Xhol Caravan - Pop Games

Xhol Caravan's 'Electrip' album is a prime example of where music was heading in the late 60's. This particular album opens up with the flush of a toilet (!), and then quickly blasts into some psychey jazz-rock. The dominating sounds are sax and organ and, the spirit in which the music is delivered, sounds like a cross between early Hawkwind (relentless jamming) and the psychedelic jazz-rock of early Soft Machine.

Amon Duul II - Between The Eyes (Live)

Amon Düül II - Surrounded By The Stars

And finally the full BBC documentary of the German rock scene - an excellent documentary that features the main players such as Amon Düül, Cluster,Tangerine Dream,Can, Popul Vuh, Faust, Neu!  and so on.

Krautrock The Rebirth of Germany

Enjoy.

Fetching the documentary now. Cool beans! I'd completely missed it on its original airing.
