What a Surreal Cover?
I got this single from Rounder Records as the cover was just brilliant. It was only a penny! I hate Status Quo anyway but the cover was so funny,and the guys in the shop added their own words to the cover.
As they said "Is This Symbolism? Why?". Anyway it will go on the stall at an inflated price,perhaps £1 since the cover is so unique!!
Also from the Upper Gardner street market this morning picked up one of those lovely Properbox Cd collections,that is 4 cd's with an excellent well-annotated booklet,as always with them.,called "Sax O' Bebop" a compilation of music by Sonny Stitt,who played with Bud Powell and jammed with Gene Ammons. Anyway,usually Propoerbox sets sell for about $16,and sometimes i have bought them for £10 at the record fairs,but at this market (and sealed!) it was only £4. A real bargain!!!
