Saturday Night Crap TV

Agh! Guess what? The other half is watching the cattle market Miss World 2006 - what shit. I was about to watch a DVD - one of these freebies "Clsoely observed Trains" - when she troops in from work and demands to watch TV. Then she puts this channel on. C'est la vie.

So out comes the old Van Morrison LPs and stuff like that on the old headphones.Blah blah blah!

I feel another playlist itch comoing on.

Downloads & Transfers

Done quite a bit of downloading recently, esp. from the excellent UBUweb site. Three films by Jack Smith no less, all ultra rare unobtainaable films from any source really, except they are free from UBUweb - the proviso is they are for educational use and not for resale. Anyway after an hour of downloading it i now have the full "Flaming Creatures" ,plus two others others, one of them being a 4 min. short called "Scotch". As well as some super avant garde and experimental films they have a huge range of sound files, including the complete Brion Gysin "Poem of Poems" LP and loads of texts. Guy debord films plus text versions of translationa as all his films were in French.

Also transferred some vinyl tracks to mp3 with my connected Bush turntable to the PC,esp. two Hot Butter tracks from the "Popcorn" LP.

Found a great official Jefferson Airplane site which you can stream some of their music including "White Rabbit" (currently a TV ad commmercial soundtrack).Worth a look at
