Glenn Gould

Two mystery shops today on behalf on Weatherspoons. One in Hove, a lunch, and one in Worthing , a drinks only visit.

L.is talking to her friend, Nida, in sunny California at the momemt as i write this. I will be watching BBC 4 soon as they are showing a feature length documnetary on deceaaed maverick pianoist Glenn Gould which i will want ro record on the DVD recorder. I have quite a few Glenn Gould recordings on CD including a 13CD Bach colection which i picked up very cheaply ages ago.Also, a number of CD's of modern music by Schoenberg and others , plus the DVD of "32 Short Films About Glenn Gould" and some downloads of his CBC radio broadcasts from UBUweb.

So I suppose you could say i am a fan.

Afterthoughts

Well, I watched the Glemm Gould programme on BBC4 caled "Glenn Gould Hereafter" and recorded it onto DVDR for posterity to go with my other three DVD's,which includes "32 Short Films About Glenn Gould" (Columbia Tristar DVD),"The Alchemist" (EMI Classics DVD) and a DVDR of a video "Glenn Gould's Greatest Hits" (Sony Classics). I will place the DVDR with the latter as both were done at home transferred from a video in the former and TV in the latter.

Excellent documnetary and definitely the highlight of what would have been a dull evening,except for the new Cracker TV programme. Yep,Fitz is back!

May have to watch a repeat of Fitz as now the other half has taken the control of hte remote.
