Sydenham Trip

Yesterday was counting footfall in the area known as Sydenham in South East London for a well known retailer that shall remain nameless, confidentiality and all that.

Ha two breaks in which I used the Blue Mountain Café. Jamaican coffee shop which sells a mug of the rare Blue Mountain coffee for a whopping £4.50.

Got back to base late and had a microwaveable curry dish from the Co-op. Spot was nowhere to be found and I guessed , correctly, he was up the pub.

Started the first two chapters of the David Mitchell book “Cloud Atlas” , one of the books from the challenge this year

Canterbury Visit

A short excursion over to Canterbury in the afternoon to do a visit, and ended up buying a T shirt in the sale. Picked up a couple of magazines from the Oxfam shop as well. A couple of Radical Philosophy mags from 1995 and 2001.

Had a couple of pints of Welton's Samurai ale (5.6% ABV) at the West Gate Inn before departing the city.

I think starting next week, after my gig on Friday, I will do a detox routine and try to get some weight off. Nothing too radical, just walking or rambling , and plenty of low fat yoghurt.
