Edge Of Darkness

Back in The Office this morning, printing off some visits i will be doing, and waiting to get my money for being here around 12,30 am. Then I will be going to Faversham, sell some books, and end up in Canterbury for another Wetherspoons visit.

Last night I downloaded and watched the new version of "Edge of Darkness" (2010) from the BBC iPlayer. This version had Mel Gibson investigating the death of his daughter with Ray Winstone as some shadowy British agent. I remember seeing the original drama series of "Edge of Darkness" , with Bob Peck as the eponymous detective. It was fascinating to watch this BBC Film version of the drama , which was aired in 1985, and for me, the original series sill has the edge (pun intended). It also had  haunting theme music scored by Eric Clapton and Michael Kamen. Good effort, but the 1985 series still cuts mustard with me.

Food,Beer and Folk Music

Did a visit to Canterbury after my stint at the Office. Had a lovely succulent 14 oz. Aberdeen Angus steak at the Thomas Ingoldsby pub washed down with a Woodforde’s Wherry ale (3.8 % ABV) and a Pimms and lemonade.

Back in Faversham picked up a few CD’s from the library to copy onto the hard drive -

John Tams - The Reckoning (Topic)
Waterson : Carthy - Common Tongue (Topic)
June Tabor - At The Wood’s Heart (Topic)

All modern folk music.
