A.J Ayer posed the question , Montaigne also posed the same question and it is a universal question of philosophy. Nobody has come up with the most surrealist absurdism and funny interpretation of the meaning of life, etc. , other than Douglas Adams ...

Sunday Melancholia
Thinking of Canada, and something that
lilchiva mentioned - here is a Joni Mitchell which alludes to the country, A Case Of You.
Cool tune!
next up ,
Bon Iver - I Can't Mark You Love Me / Nick Of Tome
Wow! What a tune and voice.
Icelandic noir esoteria next with Sigur Ros - Olsen Olsen
The real name of this fake language that Sigur Ros use is Vonlenska (same etymology of Íslenska, the Icelandic language). It's really close to Islenska, but without meaning. And I can confirm, Olsen Olsen ,is the only song on the Ágætis Byrjun album that is sung in Vonlenska and not in Íslenska.
And finally, going back to Canada -
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - The Dead Flag Blues
A slice of melancholia and nihilism perhaps. Enjoy.
