If i could still buy pipe tobacco in quantities of 10g or 15g then losing that lot the other day would be not be such a problem but the government in their infinite wisdom (sarcasm intended) have restricted it to a minimum of 30 grammes - once again whacking the poor from their vices- So that 49g pouch cost me £11.50, and when i went back to said newsagent / tobacconist this morning they do not have a replacement from the same brand. The dim wit either did not order enough or only had the one - all i knew it was a German one and had a lovely fruity smell to it. So i had to buy, albeit one of my fave Irish brands, a Peterson's tin of 50g - their aromatic Nutty Cut at £13,30.
It is a quality brand indeed and is described as" n irresistible flavour of rum, coconut & macadamia nuts."
I had just visit to do today - a pub food and drink one in Sheerness.I had my favourite lamb shank washed down with a Green Devil IPA and a glass of red wine.
At least the weather is dry if quite alot cooler than the heatwave we had recently.
I was going to more on the net today but i have been gorging myself on Buffy DVD's and now up to Season 5 of the series. Still an emotional roller-coaster with "The Body" yet to come. Sometimes you can forget how wonderfully great a series like this can be when you have not watched it for awhile.
Then i still have the three movies of Lords of The Ring to watch again.
Tomorrow i am going to Dover, Folkstone and Hythe for three visits so i am hoping it is a nice sunny day.
My brother has been rediscovering the warmness of vinyl again. He has been listening to Kind of Blue by Miles davis on blue vinyl on his new ION turntabke with speakers. It looks so cool.
