Pics Time

More books added to my collection due to my brother.

The new shoes.

A sunny afternoon in the high street.

I am so happy that bro gave me a pile of books to read because i was gutted when i had to give up so many, as well as CD's and records, when i had to get out from the cesspool of Teynham. That unspeakable moron has so far not even the courtesy of finding out how i am , not a text or an email nor a phone call. Yet as i said to my bro , i cannot dwell on the past, of what i have lost, otherwise i know i will well up, and that the only sane thing to do is look forward, to start afresh, a tabula rasa, because bitterness will engulf me and i do not want that. Mind you the idea of schadenfreude is a apt epitaph to that erstwhile "unmentionable".

I missed the details of your move during my unsettledness as i moved across the continent: my thoughts are with you now. So glad you have a safe place.

Isn't there anyway to get your stuff back or is it long gone now?

[identity profile] davesmusictank.livejournal.com 2016-06-15 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope ,the removers took them and hence i have no more.

That's awful.

I will never forget what he did to you and my reach is long. He will live to regret his action and always remember this - I have your back ....

I'm sorry you lost so much...bu you have come so far out of that (were others wouldn't). Cuz needs a punch to the face...with a chair, though. Still...you have awesomeness everywhere and you are stable again. That is what counts! You have awesome pics of the fantastic things you have and you have a priceless brother. You are a rich man indeed!

*HUGS*

I don't really know what happened because you just friended me recently, but I'm glad you're more settled now. It's always good to have books. And I see Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell--nice! :)

Great pics. :)
That street looks like pleasant for lack of a better word.
Is that an old church along the right hand side of the picture?
Hugs, Jon

Sure is - the local United Reform Church - whatever that is.

[identity profile] thespian15.livejournal.com 2016-06-16 02:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Why does the word Reform scare me when it's combined with religion? :o

I see some intriguing books - Scorper's also on our shelf waiting to be read! And I keep meaning to pick up my copy of Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell from my mum's place - bought it back when I lived with her, but the size of the thing put me off. Of course, now I'm a veteran of A Song of Ice and Fire, I'm no longer intimidated... that, and I liked the BBC series a lot. Did you see that?

[identity profile] davesmusictank.livejournal.com 2016-06-16 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
Watched the BBC series in full. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

I am so happy for you, that things are looking up a bit :-)
Hugs,

It's great to see that you are getting settled.

Good to read things are going better for you. I hear you on the bitterness and needing to look forward, for your own well-being and health. Your brother sounds like a good man.

Good looking shoes! Congrats on the new books. I'm glad you had a good visit with your brother. It's great that he's come through for you like this.

I hear you on not dwelling on the past, and loss. And then it starts to pile up as the years past. HUGS for everything you've gone through lately. Good luck on turning a corner and not looking back :-)

Have a sunny day tomorrow!

Your bookcase is looking really good, now!

And I love how sunny your high street looks :)

Stylish new shoes, too!

I'm so glad your brother came through for you.

Your experience reminds me of my daughter fleeing her ex (who came home from Afghanistan very agressive and scary). Several friends gave household stuff, we scouted thrift stores for dishes and pans and I even found a vacuum cleaner which had been discarded and only needed emptying!!

Books are such great things, providing temporary 'escape' for resting the mind. I hope things continue on the path of mending and healing.God bless.

You are a bigger man than most I know. Your attitude is worthy of admiration.

There is something about books, they make a space a home. I respect and admire your relationship with your brother.
