More books added to my collection due to my brother.

The new shoes.

A sunny afternoon in the high street.
I am so happy that bro gave me a pile of books to read because i was gutted when i had to give up so many, as well as CD's and records, when i had to get out from the cesspool of Teynham. That unspeakable moron has so far not even the courtesy of finding out how i am , not a text or an email nor a phone call. Yet as i said to my bro , i cannot dwell on the past, of what i have lost, otherwise i know i will well up, and that the only sane thing to do is look forward, to start afresh, a tabula rasa, because bitterness will engulf me and i do not want that. Mind you the idea of schadenfreude is a apt epitaph to that erstwhile "unmentionable".

That street looks like pleasant for lack of a better word.
Is that an old church along the right hand side of the picture?

I hear you on not dwelling on the past, and loss. And then it starts to pile up as the years past. HUGS for everything you've gone through lately. Good luck on turning a corner and not looking back :-)
Have a sunny day tomorrow!

Your experience reminds me of my daughter fleeing her ex (who came home from Afghanistan very agressive and scary). Several friends gave household stuff, we scouted thrift stores for dishes and pans and I even found a vacuum cleaner which had been discarded and only needed emptying!!
Books are such great things, providing temporary 'escape' for resting the mind. I hope things continue on the path of mending and healing.God bless.
