It is another quiet night here in the common room - just me mostly - but with no A/C it is humid,and thus i will retire to my room to watch Charmed or Jackie Brown again on DVD. Although i could murder a pint ,lol!

I am currently enjoying the bounty of the vile Tesco's offer of three four-packs of beers and ciders for £10. I wish it hadn't been them, given their continued prominent support of pushing people into minimum wage jobs, subsidised by the government, such that they effectively gain a free worker drone, whilst that person has to support getting to and from a full time job on JSA. Private profits, public subsidies - it's the conservative way. =:P

How's the local library's DVD/BD selection, btw? I haven't taken advantage of mine in a long while, but I did find quite a few gems, from Mr Nice to various Tarkovsky productions. (Ye gods, but Stalker is a masterpiece.. heavy going, admittedly, given how dialogue heavy it is, but so rewarding)

I hear you about the humidity. We had storms roll through yesterday and the weather man said the humidity was suppose to go away. Nope, just took Maggie out for a walk and it's still sticky out there. :o
