Stravinsky 50

"An artists is a kind of pig snouting truffles"
                                                  Igor Stravisnky

Well, dear reader, it is another sunny day against the odds.
The forecast was wrong and today it is another sunny day with a high this afternoon of 14C.

BBC Radio 3 is doing their Stravinsky Day. It is the  50th anniversary of Stravnsky's death.

His music continues to resonate in today's world, how his legacy has been in effect reinvented, from contemporary composition to film scores, from digital sampling in pop to the language of jazz, and also in the world of dance.

A Stravinsky tune became Orch 5 on a Fairlight synthesiser/sampler now called the "orchestral stab".
