04. Favorite Film: That's a tough one -- I love so many films. How about favorite genres? New Wave, Minimalist, Noir, Indie generally, anything involving subtitles... film snob, yeah. I'm not much for popular films though there are some I like just fine.

Would you keep a secret from me if you thought it was in my best interest? I sometimes think what others think of us is none of our business. If someone said something pointlessly hurtful about you, I probably would not tell you, because why?
What is your favourite memory of us? It's not really a memory, but when anita_margarita pointed me in your direction, I was genuinely pleased because here is someone who clearly takes great pleasure in LJ, and lately that's been sorely lacking.
What is your favourite guilty pleasure? There is a ready-made rice pudding dessert here called Kozy Shack in the states; you can buy it at convenience stores. I try not to eat a lot of snack food but it is addicting. I don't keep it in the house but once in a while I cave in and eat a whole tub of it in my truck.
Tell me one odd/interesting fact about you: I am not an ordained minister, but I wrote a sermon (indirectly) about the aforementioned rice pudding that brought several people to tears.

11. George Carlin said the glass is twice as big as it needs to be; I say it's the glass that I haven't seen since the last time I let someone visit my house. More seriously, it depends who had the glass last. Some people are fillers, some are emptiers.
Bottles, on the other hand, are things that tend to be filled only by a very few people, while almost everyone empties them. The balance of probability is half-empty.
This principle especially applies to countries deep in economic misery, which is how I first heard the question applied.

It's a form of lying, which is a severe strain on me. On the other hand, I was brought up in an environment of "constructive criticism", which seemed to mean smug malignant candor. The gripping hand is, you don't seem to be stupid, and can probably decide for yourself whether or not to act on information.
