04. Favorite Film: That's a tough one -- I love so many films. How about favorite genres? New Wave, Minimalist, Noir, Indie generally, anything involving subtitles... film snob, yeah. I'm not much for popular films though there are some I like just fine.
05. Favorite Song or Album: Voice in my Throat, Pearl and the Beard. Just makes me damn happy, no other reason.
06. Favorite Band/Artist: McCoy Tyner. Hands down.
07. Dirty or Clean: Oh dear, I think I'm too old for this question. The first thing I thought of was, "is it suddenly unhip to shower?" If I don't know quite what this is about (Drugs? Showering?) I'm going to assume I'm clean, as well as slightly clueless.
08. Tattoos and/or Piercings: Just pierced ears, one piercing on each side.
09. Do we know each other outside of LJ? Nope, but if you're ever in the eastern US, let's remedy that.
10. What's your philosophy on life? Go gently on others and on the world, but do not go gently into that goodnight.
11. Is the bottle half-full or half-empty? Half-full.
12. Would you keep a secret from me if you thought it was in my best interest? Absolutely. I've lived long enough to have discovered that discretion is often the better part of valor. If your knowing something could harm you, better believe I wouldn't breathe a word of it to you.
13. What is your favourite memory of us? Alas, I have no memories of us. But see above statement about visiting the States.
14. What is your favourite guilty pleasure? Hmmm... lying in bed with my husband and never getting out of bed all. day. long. except to get food to eat... in bed. We get to do this pretty much almost never, though. Having jobs and kids will do that to you.
15. Tell me one odd/interesting fact about you: I started out life as a painter, photographer, and freelance artist. Now I'm an anthropologist. For realsies.
16. You can have three wishes: 1) For my kids to do brilliantly in life and be happy 2) For a happy, healthy long life with my husband 3) For there to be no more need for money -- Star Trek replicators for everyone! But if you want to give me one more totally selfish wish, I wish to look like I looked at 19!
17. If it were possible would you want to hang out with me sometime? (Pretty sure I just asked everyone on my LJ out on a date..) Sure, but only if we go dutch.
18. Which country is your spiritual home? The Netherlands! Many of my friends are there and I miss them all the time. Luckily we get to travel back and forth every so often.
19. What is your big weakness? Food: potato chips. Men: devastating intelligence. Creatures: the pets my stepdaughter begs for. I am a marshmallow.
20. Do you think I'm a good person? Of course you are! Wait, is there something you're not telling me? *Eyes you suspiciously*
21. What was your best/favourite subject at school? English literature (I'm assuming you mean before college)
22. What kind of cologne or perfume do you wear? Soir de Lune
23. If you could change anything about me, what would it be? How often you post. More please!
24. What do you wear to sleep? long t-shirts, camisoles and leggings, or just my birthday suit.
25. Trousers or skirts? Trousers. Jeans, specifically, and leggings too. However I do have a couple of skirts I love and wear a ton.
26. Caffeine or nicotine? Caffeine.
27. If I only had one day to live, what would we do together? Ideally, we'd steal a jet and fly to a place that's on both of our bucket lists. More likely, we'd panic, because OMG, ONE DAY LEFT, WHAT DO WE DO??????
28. Will you repost this so I can fill it out for you? Sure, though my husband does maintain a "100% Meme-free" LJ, so I may accidentally cause him some decisional conflict if he starts answering it. :)
