A small small profit

Popped in to see Stephen at the bookshop and he gave me my takings for the stall. I MADE A PROFIT. Only £1 though after the two weeks rent in advance being taken off and a credit card sale (which incurs a £1 deduction!).So the breakdown was £11 in ome week and £4 the second wek. At least it was not a negative sum.

Got a wonderful deep soul CD today on Kent Records ,"Dave Godin's Deep Soul Treasures Vol.4" - 25 slabs of gorgious deep soul grooves,some famous,some very obscure but all excellent stuff. Fulll details of all Kent / Ace records are avaliable on their website at http://www.acerecords.com/ and they do a great service to collectors of old soul,blues and other idioms.

Phew . what a lot of good sounds and going towards the deep soul and soulful funky soul at the end. somwhat influenced by Steviecat's recent purchases on Ace records and him playing some deep soul in the bookshop. It was SOUL music,and northern soul, when i started listening to music early seventies and SOUL music still influences me now.
