Haha, too true :)
I even liked the new version of the Sound of Silence that is out, but I try to close my ears to it because I prefer Simon and Garfunkel's version better. The original and the best!

My neighbors also share their good
for nothing
"music" with me along with their dogs at all times of the day and night.

I used to play loud music on purpose when I lived at my mom's apartment building.
It helped drown out the screaming kids, fireworks, barking dogs, cars racing up and down the block, and drunken husbands yelling at their wives.
Yeah, I don't miss any of that shite.
