Deal Visit

Thursday i did a mystery shop in Deal. Got a very good deal as well. Picked up four books and some jazz CD's for a fiver.

The books are as follows -



The jazz CD's are -

Mal Waldron Quintet - Live At The Village Vanguard (Soul Note)
Wallace Roney - Crunchin' (Muse)
Lightning Hopkins - Smokes Like Lightning (Bluesville)

It was another warm sunny day. When i arrived back in Canterbury i took ore pictures with the camera an these will be posted later on.

Late Night Grooves 1

Continuing the late night jazz groove here is a cool hip tune by Kenny Burrell from the Midnight Blue album and the track i gave chosen is the title track.

Finally for this early morning nighttime jazz selection is from a CD i got in Deal. The Mal Waldron Quintet and a track called The Seagulls Of Kristiansund from the Live At The Village Vanguard album, all 26 minutes of it.

A Roaming In New Romney

Today i visited New Romney to  complete another mystery shop and thus a Red Cross charity shop. I traveled via Faversham and Ashford.

I picked up a number of books and CD's for the five pound spend, including another Ennio Morricone soundtrack.



The CD's are -

Elvis Costello and The Brodsky Quartet - The Juliet Letters (Warner Bros.)
Ennio Morricone - Once Upon A Time In America (Mercury)
Andreas Scholl - Wayfaring Strangers (Decca)

The latter album is a collection of folk songs sung by the famous countertenor.

Had dinner at the Leading Light pub in Faversham. A hot spicy curry.
