Although written as quiz books they (this one and it's prequel "How many moons does the Earth have?") are in fact just as entertaining to read as popular science reference books. Complex ideas and theories are presented in an easy to read and entertaining format which anyone with an interest in science will enjoy.

Laptops

It looks like my old larger laptop has given up the ghost. It became very slow and probably run out of working memory or something. The fact that i have loaded lots of music onto it might be a cause of the problem. I tend to rip each CD i get onto the machine maybe another factor so i will have to transfer the music onto my external drive. The Chromebook is fine but does not have the codex to play music or DVD's from an attached CD/DVD drive.
So i shall be hunting for a newer Windows based laptop. Drat!

Disconnect

Gosh , it is almost the weekend again? Time has flown like a w bird in flight.It has been a strange day though. Frustrating in the morning and now quite blissful. But right now i feel like the headless Horseman ... disconnected and sleepy. And talking of the disconnect .. there is no internet at the Quays .. somebody cut into the wrong wires whilst doing an upgrade in the office apparently . hence i am in my local 'Spoons pub right now.

Crisis

Whilst out today i did manage to watch the latest episodes of The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow - all great episodes - but this is now er extravaganza leading up to next week's crossover with Arrow of course in a four episode arc called Crisis on earth X. I am definitely looking forward to this one.
