WW1984
Yes, I have watched the latest Wonder Woman movie WW1984 streamed via Onionplay.
Gal Gadot makes a very impressive and a strong beautiful Diana Prince.
Well, without giving away anything, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
If you loved her last WW film you will love this one as well.

Nuanced
I gently touched upon to a newbie reader of my blog the fact that I would rather not see the FB-imported "like button".
So within a couple of days of them being newly minted friends, they have reversed the process with me. I did not mean to upset them but then .. as I have stated before, a comment, even a shorter one, reminds me that you are a human and not a machine.
We seem to be on a losing battle though. It is like the disappearance of nuanced opinions and that everything has to be so black and white. The middle ground is falling away to a diametrically opposed shouting ground. Us or them politics is the order of the day.
The loss of nuanced dialectic discourse that philosophy favoured, and the kind of intelligent converse that emanated, has floated away in a sea of cacophonous babble.
So, like it or not, this is the state of play. Rant over and out.

Tuesday Thoughts
Damn it! The CD/DVD external ROM drive finally gave up the ghost. It started to sound like a mower in the garden. Then some plastic bits around the spindle that holds the DVD or Cd in place broke apart. Totally useless now.
So I am in a quandary. Do I buy another cheap external CD/DVD ROM drive or upgrade to a Blu Ray one but I have only two movies on that format and they have a DVD as well included - or do I upgrade my Duronic CD player which was a gift from my bro
coming42.

It is a fine good player, EXCEPT for one irritating problem and that is to do with CD indexing. Now it is not a problem if the tracks are separate with said indexes. But some classical and jazz CDs may have a suite or symphony or concerto which is continuous but has been indexed on the CD. The damn machine leaves a two-second gap of silence even if the music is continuous and it is damn noticeable. I do not have this problem with a cheap twenty quid CD/DVD external ROM drive.
I do know, that before lockdown, the mini hi-fi system they have in the lounge/community room will play indexed contiguous music without a problem. It is a Denon and that is what I really wanted in the first place.
So, when it is the first Monday of the new year I am going to make a decision. I will have been paid by the UC people, then and I might take a small amount from the pension because ideally, the Denon is a far better option. I am certain any model in their range will be better at knowing when the music is continuous and indexed do not leave that annoying gap.
Meanwhile, I discovered some old speakers I had which I added to the ones from the CD unit and doubled my sound output. In other words, it can be louder without distortion.
But then If I do want to play any of my existing DVD's do I get a CD/DVD ROM drive or one of these portable DVD players that Ewart has.

Something to think over the next few days.

Just Wondering
Do you have a wall calendar ready for next year or do you not use them?
Have you started taking holiday decorations down yet?
What was your high point, if any, in 2020?
