Try also experimenting with white balance. I think you can do this on the Canon, you certainly can with the Panasonic. I like your pics but if you want to achieve more then go through the menus on both cameras to see what is available in terms of ISO, colour saturation, white balance, etc. Then join Flickr and put your pics out there! :-)
