So, after a day of virtually dong nothing except for hoovering upstairs whilst cousin sorted out the overgrown jungle that was once the garden, I feel that I should do something today rather than be stuck indoors. The weather is just too good to be enclosed within four walls.
After lunch, I shall venture with my trusty Canon camera, to walk down towards Conyer and take some photographs. Commentators have positively countenanced the fact that I have a good eye for a photograph, and considering the juxtaposition of the modern red ice cream van against the ancient ruined castle of Tonbridge, this has encouraged me to take more photos than I do at the moment.
Well although that I didn't do anything yesterday, I am always doing something, whether it is reading a book, watching a film or some other activity. I rarely daydream or have moments of idle reverie. Perhaps I should consider such moments as moments of creative appreciation. Ruminating on such thoughts has been enervating, and I have scribbled more thoughts down on how to approach the text for the lapsed Dr. Who fandom story.
I must admit, watching the complete mini series of The Martian Chronicles last night was extremely nostalgic for me. However, it also shows how technology and special effects in films and television drama has improved considerably. The essence of these linked stories and vignettes are undeniably apposite vis-à-vis the human condition. There were moments of tedium but overall this was an entertaining programme.
