Today i visited Ashford to do a mystery shop. The weather was very warm with a breeze coming from southern Europe. Parts of Kent achieved twenty one degrees centigrade, but alas , it will not last as the remnants of the hurricane that swept through the West Indies comes across the Atlantic our way.
Picked up a few books to feed my bibliomania and another sweater from the visit.

Now the last book takes me back to the early eighties when i did the second level Open University course The Enlightenment.
The book on Seurat was a wonderful find. I rate him as high as Schiele , and it is interesting to note that both had tragic short lives.
Tried a few more beers in the 'Spoons festival -
From Australia , Two Birds Golden Ale (4.4 % ABV)
From Italy, Birrificio Lambrate Ligeria (4.8 % ABV)
From Norfolk, Woodforde's Phoenix IPA (5.5 % ABV)
They do a useful 1/3 pint glass and a paddle to hold all three of them. Of the three the latter beer was the best tasting ale but then i do love my stromgly hopped beers.
