Pretty interesting! My teen years were in the late 50's, early 60's (I married at 20 in 1964). From age 13 to 20 it was rock and roll ; Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, etc. and we danced in local places; there were several churches who organized dances for their young members, and raised money for the church with a small entrance fee and the sale of (non-alcoholic) drinks and homemade cookies, brownies, etc. This was in Boston.
